Why did I choose today to finally write my first post, probably for the same reason I picked up French again since High School or finally decided to attempt to bake bread. For all the days I said " I just don't have time" these days I have all the time in the world.

In New York we are in the middle of what has been called the pandemic of the century, comparable in some ways to the Influenza of 1918. People are looking for ways to be there for each other but also maintain social distancing.

To those looking beyond COVID-19 wondering, what’s next?

The restructuring of a very broken healthcare system? The impending thoughts of economic hardship ahead? Or trying to stay positive and enjoy life after loosing someone close to you because of the virus?... What’s next?

I'm looking forward to embracing my friends and family again. Taking in the sun as it makes my hair stand on end with its touch. Going out just because I can, hearing the hustle and bustle of the people in the city streets.

Until then, here we are alone together.
